You are here: Home > Herbal Treatments for Cats > 'Feline Urinary Tract Infection/ Bleeding 'Feline Urinary Tract Infection/ Bleeding Dosage :- 5 drops twice daily 50ml for $32 Feline Urinary Tract Infection is an irritation of the bladder and/or urethra. In some cases cats can also develop stones or crystals in these areas. Male cats are more likely than females to develop crystals in the urethra, and if the crystals are numerous enough or large enough the urethra may be blocked, preventing the cat from urinating. If a complete blockage occurs kidney failure and death can result within a couple of days. The disease increases urination with the cat only being able to pass small amounts of urine at a time is the most frequent symptom. Infection and the presence of stones or crystals can make urination painful, so the cat may cry or show symptoms of discomfort or pain. The urine may also be bloody. Cats may also "miss" the litter box, or intentionally urinate in other places due to the discomfort and irritation. Changing the diet to special cat food may assist cats with cystitis. If a cat is diagnosed with cystitis the culprit is usually its diet, and/or not getting enough water. The mineral magnesium is often considered to be one of the leading causes behind the disease, so a cat food low in magnesium is considered by many to be the best preventative measure, combined with constant access to clean fresh water. Obese cats are more likely to get cystitis, so keep your cat at a healthy weight. The Kidney Weakness mix will act to completely rehabilitate the Kidneys (as well as support the Liver) and it includes:- Alfalfa, Buchu, Dandelion, Echinacea, Garlic, Rosehips, Uva Ursi and Yarrow as well as the Bach Flowers Wild Rose and Rescue Remedy. Urinary Tract Infections are really an indication of the new age of antibiotic resistant infections which are now crossing species lines. You need advice and a herbal treatment to assist your cats immunity and redevelop her ability to throw off infections itself. The difficulty with cats is that they must be introduced carefully to strange tastes or they will reject you forever as they are not as accepting as dogs etc. Give your cat one drop of this herbal treatment mixed in favourite food or drink twice a day and after she has gotten used to the taste increase to 2 drops per dose until you are up to 5 drops twice daily. Take it easy and don't rush too much or we are in real trouble. After she has gotten to 5 drops start to reduce her other medications one at a time and try to figure out how to get her to get some rosehips tea into her and how to introduce a tiny amount of pulverised fresh garlic into the feeds. The next step is to introduce the Kidney Weakness treatment again slowly so she is on both treatments. See: http://www.herbal-treatments.com/cat_kidney_weakness.html If you can manage this over the next few weeks she will be able to get on top of the infection and regain the health of her urinary tract completely so she will never have another kidney or bladder infection.
